I like the fact that you can use the class's static initializer to pull in the JRuby runtime instance, that makes these classes usable in all sorts of places where you can't control the construction of your object. There's no reason the compiler2 output couldn't be serialized and deserialized with normal Java serialization, since there's a no-arg constructor and all the state would be transient. We just need a bit of logic to marshal the Ruby innards on the way out and unmarshal them on the way in.Charles Oliver Nutterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06400331959739924670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4704664917418794835.post-88671820977850136582009-03-11T05:09:00.000-07:002009-03-11T05:09:00.000-07:00Hi,It very interesting add !! will it be possible ...Hi,

It very interesting add !! will it be possible to migrate a ruby object to a java one at runtime ?

Thanks in advance for your answer ... and again many thanks for this great work

AdamAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4704664917418794835.post-5128842427702831822009-03-11T07:49:00.000-07:002009-03-11T07:49:00.000-07:00This is amazing and brilliant. If so how would create a jar from the compiled code?

The efficiency this adds to calling Jruby from Java is just incredible.Derekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02994188591376024739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4704664917418794835.post-49213277492153566772009-03-11T11:44:00.000-07:002009-03-11T11:44:00.000-07:00Support for AOT compilation and packaging of JRuby...Support for AOT compilation and packaging of JRuby code in Jars would be great too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
